The VCU ASPiRE staff is committed to creating the best community engagement and living learning experience possible. Serving, learning and living together require both effort and compromise. The benefits of the experience, however, can be immense.
In an effort to help students remain informed about the opportunities available through ASPiRE, the responsibilities of all students, and the support available from the staff, there is a program handbook for students.
The Student Handbook is a living document that evolves with the program. New information will be added and existing information edited as needed. Therefore, we recommend that students review the Student Handbook regularly to stay up to date on all pertinent program information. The Student Handbook is available to all ASPiRE students via Blackboard.
After reading the Student Handbook, students should direct any questions or concerns to program staff.
Residential Life and Housing Resources
Students in ASPiRE must adhere to all policies and procedures of Residential Life and Housing. This includes communicating with RAs and the Hall Director to assist with issues that arise in the living space. The housing staff and ASPiRE staff communicate regularly about student conduct to ensure a safe living environment and program.
