East End Cemetery
Engage = 3
Join ASPiRE students as we assist with clean-up efforts at East End Cemetery in Richmond.
A historically African American burial site, East End Cemetery has fallen into a state of disrepair. Most of the cemetery roads are overgrown and enthusiastic students are needed to assist with restoration efforts.
We will meet in the lobby a few minutes prior to 9am so that we can depart West Grace South immediately at 9. We will return to the building by 12:15pm. Appropriate attire for the event includes sneakers and long pants. As with any outdoor event, there is the possibility of encountering bugs/bees. If you are allergic to bees, please be sure to bring your EpiPen or whatever you might use to treat your allergies. If it is hot, it is suggested that you also bring a full water bottle. Sign-up outside of the ASPiRE office.
